BLACK SABBATH's Only European Performance Will Now Be At DOWNLOAD
BLACK SABBATH's original line-up announced weeks ago that they would be recording their first new album in more than 33 years and a that there would also be a worldwide headlining.
However, some of these plans have now had to be put on hold.
Due to guitarist Tony Iommi's battle with lymphoma at this time, BLACK SABBATH will perform only one show of this summer's previously scheduled European tour. This will take place Sunday, June 10th at the UK's Download festival.
As not to let the promoters and fans down, the band's singer, Ozzy Osbourne will now perform most of the previously scheduled Black Sabbath dates billed as OZZY & FRIENDS.
These "Ozzy & Friends" shows will feature appearances by special guest musicians, including Geezer Butler and longtime former Ozzy band member Zakk Wylde.
Ozzy will also be accompanied by long time collaborator and friend Slash at select shows, with other "special guests" set to join the tour at various stops along the way.
Tony Iommi continues to make excellent progress and the band continues to write and record music for the new album.
