EXODUS, POSSESSED, FORBIDDEN & HEATHEN To Perform At Tribute Concert

EXODUS, POSSESSED, FORBIDDEN and HEATHEN are four of the bands who will perform at a special concert to mark the 10-year anniversary of former EXODUS singer Paul Baloff's passing.

"On January 31, 2002 Paul Baloff suffered a major stroke and was brought to Highland General Hospital in Northern California, where he remained in a coma until he was declared brain dead. On February 2, 2002, his doctors shut off his life support, leaving him to die in his sleep. He had no previous known health problems, and the stroke was a complete surprise to everyone around him."

"Bonded By Baloff: A Decade Of Remembrance", will take place on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at the Oakland Metro Operahouse.

HELIX To Release "Anthology" CD

Veteran Canadian hard rockers HELIX are liaising with record labels about the possibility of releasing an "anthology" CD.

The collection would include about 20 tracks, covering all the Helix albums over the years plus a couple of songs from singer Brian Vollmer's solo album, "When Pigs Fly". 

The album would also include re-recorded versions of some of the band's biggest hits: "Rock You", "Heavy Metal Love", "Deep Cuts The Knife" and "Wild In The Streets".

TANK To Film Warsaw Show For Forthcoming DVD

British power metallers TANK (Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans on guitar, Doogie White on vocals, bassist Chris Dale and drummer  Dave "Grav" Cavill) plan to have their March 9th, 2012 show at Stodola in Warsaw, Poland professionally recorded and filmed for a future DVD release.

EPICA To Release Their New Album At The Beginning Of March

The Classic Rock Awards To Be Shown On Sky TV

Highlights from the 2011 Classic Rock Roll Of Honour will be shown on Sky television this Boxing Day.

The awards will be shown on Sky Arts 1/HD at 1pm on December 26th and will be repeated on the same channel at 11.30pm on January 28th.

As some of you will be aware that we have extended offers to two of the bands that could not make the Festival in 2011, K2 (featuring Spock’s Beard’s Ryo) from the USA and Sunchild from the Ukraine. We are hoping that both these bands will be with us in 2012, and we are also happy to announce the happy return of Manning. New STYX Live CD / DVD / Blu-Ray Announced

STYX have announced a new live  CD / DVD / Blu Ray that sees the band performing two classic albums in their entirety.

The three versions will be released on January 30th 2012 titled, "STYX: The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight Live".

The band perform their  classic 1977 and 1978 albums in full.

The 20 song concert was recorded in HD on November 9th, 2010 at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, Tennessee.
