UNTO US Withdraw From SUMMERS END Festival

Brighton based band Concrete Lake have replaced Unto Us at Summers End this weekend due to their lead vocalist not being able to sing on doctor's orders.

Well, they say that both good and bad things come in threes, and our turbulent week has ended with some more bad news, with the withdrawl of UNTO US due to a severe chest infection to singer Huw Lloyd-Jones. Huw reports that the band are truly gutted to be missing out on this hugely important gig for them, but the seriousness of his condition makes singing impossible for a while. We should stress that, despite the fact that he is also festival co-organiser and extremely poorly at the moment, this does not jeopardise the festival itself in any way.

We are hugely grateful to the amazing young Brighton-based band CONCRETE LAKE, led by the Tangent's brilliant young guitarist Luke Machin, for agreeing to play the festival at a week's notice. In addition to the Sean Filkins and Lambsie signings already announced, Magenta will be launching their new album "Chameleon" at the Festival, and so will be signing copies shortly after they play on Sunday.
