RUNAWAYS Bassist Dies

Laurie McAllister (53), who was the last bassist in The Runaways, died a few days ago due to complications brought on from asthma.

McAllister joined the band in November 1978 and played on what turned out to be the band’s final tour.

The Runaways' final show was on New Year’s Eve 1978 and the band then split up a couple of months later.

McAllister then joined The Orchids for a short time, before retiring from the music industry.
