CHICKENFOOT To Release New Album In September

Chickenfoot have announced that they will release their second album in late September 2011.

This new album is still, as yet, untitled.

The first single, "Bigfoot", will be available later this month.

Last Temptation, Something’s Gone Wrong, Dubai Blues, Different Devil, No Change, Who’s Next and Astral Years are some of the other songs set to appear on the album.

Bassist Michael Anthony recently commented that album number two was a lot heavier; and maybe a little darker, than the first Chickenfoot album.

“I think we’ve really evolved as a band. The first CD, we just had so much fun jamming, we had some ideas and we put it together kind of quick, because everybody else had their schedules to keep. Even though we actually kind of did it the same way this time, we were a lot more comfortable jamming with each other, and I think we dug a lot deeper. There’s a lot more meat to these new songs.”

Drummer Chad Smith won’t tour with Chickenfoot this year because of commitments to his main band, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
