Legends CARAVAN To Make Appearance At Summers End Festival 2011

The legendary CARAVAN will headline the final day of Summers End 2011.

The full announcement reads as follows...
The Summers End Festival , which takes place on 7th, 8th and 9th October at is thrilled to announce that Canterbury legends Caravan will close the Festival on Sunday 9th October.

Caravan will need few introductions to Prog fans. Since their inception in the late 60s, the band, led by singer / guitarist Pye Hastings and multi-instrumentalist Geoffrey Richardson, has become synonymous with fabulous song-writing and jazz/prog instrumental excursions. Having been on hiatus for a few years, they will be making a return to live performance in 2011, and this will be a rare opportunity to see the band in such an intimate setting this year.

This completes our Sunday evening line up. Caravan and Magenta should make for quite a closing evening, we hope you agree.

Bands already announced:
Arena (UK) – Saturday Headliner
Magenta (UK) – Sunday Special Guest
K2 (USA) Sunchild (Ukraine) Casual Silence (Holland) Invertigo (Germany)
Don't forget that 3 day tickets are already on sale via www.summersend.co.uk .
