ALEX CARPANI BAND / FLAMBOROUGH HEAD / THE DREAMING TREE Live At The Robin 2 In Bilston

Arrived back yesterday from an excellent show on Sunday night at the Robin 2 in Bilston, Wolverhampton.

Despite problems on Sunday with the Peterborough to Birmingham trains, at one stage I didn't think I was going to get there, it was well worth the hassles of the trip.

The Dreaming Tree kicked off the proceedings at 7pm and although I wouldn't describe them as prog rock they played an enjoyable set.

Flamborough Head took the stage around an hour later and did not disappoint.
They played a whole host of songs from their back catalogue with a couple from their new album "Looking For John Maddock".

New guitarist Gert Polkerman was excellent.

Flamborough Head have be excellent every time I have seen them and this was no exception.

Managed to pick up a copy of the new album also, for only a tenner.

The Alex Carpani Band from Italy were the final band of the night and played tracks from their debut album "Waterline", plus a Led Zeppelin (Kashmir) and Genesis (the title escapes my mind at present) song.
A band definitely worth further investigation.

The only downside was the pathetic turn out with only around forty paying customers!

You don't know what a great show you missed, I really can't understand why more people did not attend.
